Концепция
Самая последняя и мощная постройка АБД – офисный комплекс напротив Белорусского вокзала. Привокзальная площадь – шумная, хаотичная, малорослая, да еще со строящейся развязкой – требовала сильного жеста. И жест этот был сформулирован – в виде абсолютно авангардного комплекса из двух 40-этажных башен, соединенных мостками и стоящих под углом друг к другу, работающих, соответственно, на разные перспективы.
Необходимость острой доминанты была явной, кроме того, она позволяла сохранить историческую застройку Лесной улицы. Но стремление к высоте ассоциируется в нашем Отечестве исключительно с амбициями заказчика и с неуважением к исторической среде. Что ставит под удар любой проект на любом этапе. Поэтому, когда в проект вошел западный соинвестор (а с ним – и западный проектировщик), все дружно стали дуть на воду и в результате от высотного объема заказчик отказался.
Что же делает Левянт? В новой версии проекта (уже совместно с польским бюро APA Wojciechowski) он сохраняет требуемое количество площадей, но раскладывает их на три менее высокие башни. А изначальную идею контраста старообрядческой церкви с сеткой башенного каркаса меняет на более читаемую концепцию: перспективы внутренних улиц комплекса замыкаются церковью, как и положено в московской традиции. Контраст же только усиливается за счет того, что лепестки башен, расходящиеся от сердцевины цветка (церкви), обретают отчетливо нью-йорский характер.
Ощущение же плотности, соответствующее мегаполису, не давит, потому что квартал «пропускает через себя город», ну, а необходимую жизнь создадут кафе и рестораны, заполнившие все первые этажи, а также уютная площадь, образовавшаяся между старым и новым. Пример актуальной, но не жлобской тесноты, разумности, создающей новое качество городского пространства, останется, видимо, на ближайшие годы одиноким островом, но тем любопытнее метафизическая рифма с церковью, как бы перепрыгнувшей революцию – это единственный в Москве храм, начатый до, а освященный после 1917 года.
